Program Overview

The International Academy of Macomb offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and is in the process of becoming the first certified International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme offered in Macomb County. 

Programme Overview 

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is an integrated liberal arts course of study requiring classes and examinations in six content areas, a theory of knowledge course, the writing of an extended research essay, and participation in planned and supervised extracurricular activities related to the local, national, and international community. The courses in the ninth and tenth grade at the International Academy of Macomb serve as preparation for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme that begins in the eleventh grade. The International Baccalaureate Diploma is widely accepted by universities and colleges around the world as evidence of superior achievement.
